HR and Payroll are implementing three initiatives at UCH which will impact most College employees. The "Working Smarter" website will be updated frequently with information for employees to help them understand what HR and Payroll processes are changing and when.
TRS is the new web portal non-exempt employees will use to report time worked and leave usage. Employees will now report hours worked and leave usage (vacation, sick and comp., time) in an online timesheet. TRS also provides functionality for Supervisors to approve employee timesheets online. Eligible employees will view their vacation and sick leave balances on their TRS homepage. TimeOut will no longer be used.
TRS is scheduled to go LIVE in February 2017. Click here to learn more about TRS, the workflows and the implementation.
Beginning in March 2017, UCH will pay non-exempt employees on a biweekly pay schedule. The "MA" (monthly arrears) pay cycle will be eliminated. Instead of being paid monthly, non-exempt employees will be paid every other Wednesday.
Students, hourly paid employees and non-exempt career employees (currently being paid on the MO, exception pay cycle) will be paid on the BW/biweekly pay cycle. Employees will be required to enter hours worked into their TRS timesheet before they will be paid. This will ensure employees are paid for the hours worked, including overtime if necessary.
The first BW paycheck is scheduled to be issued in March 2017. Click here to learn more about the BW pay schedule and the groups of employees who will be moving to this new pay cycle.
