You can check your email and calendar online through the Outlook Web App (OWA) located at Outlook Web App. You'll have easy, worldwide access to your email, office applications, and contacts no matter which computer (or web browser-enabled mobile phone) you use.

Logging in

To log in to your Exchange 2010 email and calendar account on the web:

• Go to Outlook Web App.
• Username (NetID): Enter emailname.
  (Give it as emailname, not emailname@uchastings.edu.)
• Password: Enter your email password.

Browser requirements

The Outlook Web site requires the following Web browsers in order to use its full set of features:

• Internet Explorer 7 or later versions;
• Mozilla Firefox 3.0.1 or later versions;
• Apple Safari 3.1 or later versions; and
• Google Chrome 3.0.195.27 or later versions (Windows and Mac only)
  Note: Occasionally there is an issue where Google Chrome delays loading.  It is related to the way Google Chrome handles SSL, not the UC Exchange 2010 service. Usually a refresh or reload will work correctly.

If you use a Web browser that doesn't support the full set of features, Outlook Web App (OWA) will open a light version. The light version provides fewer features but is still highly usable. To read more about OWA, visit Microsoft's Outlook Web App page.

To receive your email on an iPhone

Go to 'Settings.'

Scroll down and select 'Mail, Contacts, Calendars.'

Select 'Add Account...'

Select Microsoft Exchange.

Enter your full Hastings email address and password, and, in "description," whatever you want the Email mailbox to be called (such as UC Hastings, etc.).

On the following page, enter 'mail.uchastings.edu' in the Server line.

For the Domain enter uchastings.

Username will just be your email without the @uchastings.edu.

If that doesn't work, try entering username as "uchastings\" and your email without the @uchastings.edu.
