Choose the Accounts tab then choose Add Account at the bottom.
Select Email. (Or Mail on some versions of Android).
Type your full e-mail address (e.g., email@example.com) and your password
Select MicrosoftExchange ActiveSync account.
You may get a prompt that says "Server outlook.office365.com must be able to remotely...Continue?" Choose OK.
The rest of the settings should be auto-detected on any modern smartphone/tablet with a recent version of Android. Then you will be taken to the Account options where you can choose how much e-mail to sync, etc. In case you need to do any settings manually, they are as follows:
Email address: firstname.lastname@example.org
Password: hopefully, only you know this (your e-mail password)
Exchange Server: outlook.office365.com
Check Use secure connection (SSL)
Wait for your phone to verify the server settings.
You may need to wait 10 to 15 minutes before you can send or receive e-mail, but in most cases it will begin syncing and be ready to use right away.
The Account Options screen will appear after your phone verifies the server settings.
These account options may include the following, depending on your version of Android.
Email checking frequency The default value is Automatic. When you select this option, e-mail messages will be sent to your phone as they arrive. We recommend only selecting this option if you have an unlimited data plan.
Amount to synchronize This is the amount of mail you want to keep on your mobile phone. You can choose from several length options, including One day, Three days, and One week.
Notify me when email arrives If you select this option, your mobile phone will notify you when you receive a new e-mail message.
Sync contacts from this account: If you select this option, your contact list (names, addresses, numbers) will be synchronized between your phone and your account.
At the "Activate Device Administrator?" prompt, you will need to choose Activate to complete the setup.
Type a name for this account and the name you want displayed when you send e-mail to others.
Select Done to complete the e-mail setup and start using your account.
