Once you have downloaded the ResponseWare app for your mobile device then you must check out a license to use it. (If you are using your laptop then you do not have to download the app, but instead can use a web interface).
Go to the web address provided to you by your Professor to check out your digital ResponseWare license for your class (IT WILL HAVE CIO2 IN THE ADDRESS). When you authenticate with your username and password, you will be displayed a license number.
To activate your digital license go to https://store.turningtechnologies.com/ (YOU MUST CREATE A TURNING TECHNOLOGIES ACCOUNT USING YOUR UCHASTINGS.EDU EMAIL ADDRESS). Create the account and login. Once you are logged in you can enter your license code in the gray box labled "LICENSE CODE ACTIVATION."
If you are buying a physical clicker then go to https://store.turningtechnologies.com/
and enter the school code uCH2 and purchase your clicker bundle and create an account with your Hastings' email.
After the clicker arrives, you will want to go to https://account.turningtechnologies.com/account and select the Response Devices tab at the top. The 8 digit number displayed in the ResponseWare ID field is the number you will want to register. The page displaying the ResponseWare ID looks like this:
Once you have created your account, you then must associate your Turning Point clicker account within Blackboard.
From the Tools Menu, click on TurningPoint Registration Tool and enter the Hastings' email and password that you used to create your Responseware account and then click REGISTER. If you have not yet created a ResponseWare account, your information will appear in the Sign Up field, and you will create your account first. Then your account will be synced to your courses.
Follow the same instructions as above for obtaining your license in order to access the poll with your laptop. In class go to the following web address:
and enter the session ID that your instructor gives you during class.
