Theft from Auto
50 Block of Hyde
On Monday June 8, 2015 UC Hastings Public Safety was informed of a vehicle that had been broken into. The vehicle was parked on the 50 Block of Hyde Street at approximately 5:00 pm and UC Hastings Public Safety was informed about the vehicle at approximately 5:30 pm, placing the crime between those times. A UC Hastings DPS officer met with the victim/registered owner at approximately 5:35 pm. The victim informed that an iPad was taken from the vehicle valued at $500, and a passport that belonged to the victim. The unknown suspect gained entry to the vehicle by breaking the rear passenger side window. No suspect information. UC Hastings’ surveillance footage of the area was limited. The victim was advised to file a San Francisco Police report.

If you are the victim of auto burglary in the area of Hastings, please report it to Hastings Public Safety Department, and then to San Francisco Police Department to file reports.

At the UC Hastings Garage there are assistance stations that can be used to contact Campus Public Safety as well. For emergency or in-progress incidents, dial 9-1-1 and/or report it to the Public Safety Department.
