Roy Bartlett, Adjunct Professor

Adjunct Professor Roy Bartlett has been in private practice for almost 30 years, specializing in civil litigation and trial work. He has tried and arbitrated to verdict/award more than 30 complex business and criminal cases in different venues across the country, obtaining several multi-million dollar verdicts and awards. His cases are extremely varied by industry and practice area and include intellectual property, software piracy, False Claims Act, fraud, policyholder recovery, trade secrets and Three Strikes Law cases. He recently left a large law firm to open his own practice based in Walnut Creek.

Professor Bartlett graduated from the University of Texas in 1978 and the University of Texas Law School with High Honors in 1981. He has guest lectured at Hastings for the last two years on the subject of Trial Evidence. He has three children and, in his spare time, runs for distance, referees competitive youth and adult soccer, and plays tennis. He is an avid SF Giants fan and film buff.
