Adjunct Professor Dennis Higa received his B.A. in political science from the University of Hawaii in 1978. A graduate of Santa Clara University School of Law, Professor Higa is a licensed attorney in California and Hawaii.
Prior to entering law school, Professor Higa spent eight years in hotel management. From 1989 to 2002, Professor Higa helped develop then directed Santa Clara University School of Law's Academic Success Program (ASP), a program which garnered national recognition for its unique teaching methodology.
For over two decades Professor Higa has applied this teaching model to help students on an individual basis succeed in passing the California Bar Exam. After leaving Santa Clara University School of Law in 2002, he co-founded Lawtutorial.COM, a company which provides individualized tutoring for law students and California Bar applicants. Since 2003, Professor Higa has also been an educational consultant with Stanford Law School.
