Julia Mezhinsky Jayne, Adjunct Professor

Adjunct Professor Julia Mezhinsky Jayne is an attorney at the law firm of Campbell & Jayne LLP, which she opened in October 2006. There, her practice focuses exclusively on state and federal criminal defense. Her criminal defense practice ranges from white collar and financial crime prosecutions to the defense of general crimes such as drug conspiracies, weapons possession, and various misdemeanors. Prior to opening Campbell & Jayne LLP, Ms. Jayne worked at Sideman & Bancroft and was an Assistant District Attorney in the Contra Costa District Attorney's Office, where she served in the misdemeanor, juvenile, and felony trial teams. Ms. Jayne is also a member of the Criminal Justice Act Panel ("CJA Panel") for the Northern District of California, is co-chair of the Criminal Law & Government Investigations Section of the San Francisco Bar Association's Barrister's Club, and is a board member of the California State Bar Criminal Law Executive Committee. She is also fluent in Russian. Ms. Jayne was also selected as a “Rising Star” in the Northern California Super Lawyers 2009 Edition.
