Jonathan U. Lee, Adjunct Faculty

Adjunct Professor Jonathan U. Lee is an Assistant United States Attorney in the United States Attorney's Office for the Northern District of California. He has been an AUSA since 2005. Prior to 2005, he practiced for five years as a Deputy City Attorney at the San Francisco City Attorney's Office. As an AUSA and a Deputy City Attorney, he has tried thirteen civil cases to verdict or judgment in tort, employment, contract and civil rights cases, has argued before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals as well as the California Courts of Appeal, and has served as lead counsel in over 75 federal cases. Prior to working at the San Francisco City Attorney's Office, Professor Lee practiced as an associate attorney at Hancock, Rothert & Bunshoft in San Francisco.

Professor Lee received his Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center in 1990, where he was selected for the Center for Applied Legal Studies advocacy clinic. He received his undergraduate degree in history and economics from Washington University.
