Robin W. Reasoner is a senior associate in Fenwick & West LLP’s San Francisco office. Her practice includes strategic patent counseling and obtaining domestic and foreign patent rights in a number of technical fields, including optics, computer software, and business methods. In addition to securing patent protection for her clients, Ms. Reasoner has attacked issued patents on behalf of clients in litigation proceedings in U.S. Federal Courts and in inter partes reexamination proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Although Ms. Reasoner focuses on patent counseling, she also provides Intellectual Property due diligence and litigation support.
Ms. Reasoner received her law degree from Stanford University in 2004, and her undergraduate degree in Physics and Economics from Grinnell College in 1999. She is admitted to practice in California and before the USPTO. In addition to making many appearances on patent-related topics for in-house audiences, Ms. Reasoner has been a faculty member of the Practicing Law Institute since 2011.
