Jeffrey Sinsheimer, Adjunct Professor

Adjunct Professor Jeffrey Sinsheimer is Of Counsel at Coblentz, Patch, Duffy & Bass.

Currently, Mr. Sinsheimer represents technology, broadband service, Internet application and brick-and-mortar clients, most of whom operate highly-regulated businesses. His advises on policy and regulatory strategy and business development issues. He advocates on matters to be decided by administrative or legislative bodies. The substantive areas of Mr. Sinsheimer's practice include telecommunications, tax, constitutional, privacy, telehealth, content licensing and gaming law.

In his prior position as the Vice President of the California Cable and Telecommunications Association, Mr. Sinsheimer was involved in foundational legislation relating to telecommunications law, including the federal 1996 Telecommunications Act and California's video franchising law. He has litigated major cases relating either directly telecommunications law or to the interests of telecommunications clients in state and federal courts. In this context, Mr. Sinsheimer has also participated in rulemakings and regulatory cases at the Federal Communications Commission, California Public Utilities Commission and the State Board of Equalization, among many administrative agencies.

Mr. Sinsheimer earned his J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law (1985) and his A.B. in history from University of California, Berkeley (1980).
