Adjunct Professor David Ward is a trial attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice, Antitrust Division. A graduate of U.S. Hastings, Professor Ward has worked for the Division for seven years investigating and prosecuting criminal antitrust violations. In 2009, he served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney in the Northern District of California. From 1994 to 2003, Professor Ward worked as a journalist at Bloomberg News in New York, Washington, and San Francisco, where he covered financial markets, the U.S. Congress, elections, technology companies and white-collar fraud.
Professor Ward graduated cum laude from Hastings in 2005 and was the Senior Notes Editor on the Hastings Law Journal. He also holds a Masters in Journalism, with distinction, from Northwestern University and a B.A. with Honors from Hobart College.
