Paul Zamolo, Adjunct Professor

Adjunct Professor Paul Zamolo has held numerous attorney and management positions in the Office of Chief Counsel, Internal Revenue Service, since joining the Office in 1985. He currently is Associate Area Counsel (Large Business and International), a position he has held since 2009. Prior management positions include Deputy Regional Counsel (Tax Litigation)(Western Region), Associate Area Counsel (Small Business/Self Employed) and Executive Assistant to the Regional Counsel (Western Region).

Professor Zamolo has been an Adjunct Professor in the LLM Taxation program at Golden Gate University School of Law since 2003 where he has taught courses in Federal Tax Procedure, Real Estate Taxation, Marital Tax, Income Taxation of Trusts and Estates and Taxation of “S” Corporations. He is a frequent speaker and/or panelist at Taxation Section meetings of the State Bar of California and the American Bar Association and has been an advisor to the Executive Committee of the Tax Section, State Bar of California, since 2007.

Professor Zamolo received his A.B. in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley in 1976. He has a Masters in Public Policy from Berkeley (1979) and received his J.D. from Boalt Hall School of Law, University of California, Berkeley (1980).
