UC Hastings professors are leading legal scholars and practitioners who bring expertise and energy to their courses and clinics.
The UC Hastings faculty is, without question, our greatest asset. Your first-year Torts professor wrote the casebook for the class (same with Contracts and Civil Procedure). Your Welfare Law professor argued federal welfare cases before the U.S. Supreme Court. And your Civil Rights Clinic advisor is a veteran civil rights prosecutor for the Department of Justice. But what is perhaps most remarkable about these prolific and professionally accomplished men and women is how enthusiastic, engaged and generous they are as teachers and mentors of UC Hastings students.
In addition to our full-time faculty—many of whom are nationally renowned scholars in their field—we draw adjunct faculty from senior members of the California judiciary, partners of major Bay Area law firms, and leading public officials in criminal law, environmental law, immigration and civil rights.
