Graduate Division (LL.M. & MSL Programs)

Welcome to the University of California Hastings Graduate Division! The Graduate Division offers three programs: the International LL.M., the Master of Studies in Law, and the Master of Studies in Law for Health and Science Professionals.

The LL.M. is designed for international students who possess a law degree from a university outside of the United States and wish to spend a year studying in San Francisco specializing in U.S. Legal Studies. The Master of Studies in Law (MSL) is a one-year program designed for students who already have a graduate degree or substantial professional experience in a field other than law and wish to learn more about the law as it applies to their field and careers, but do not wish to practice law. The Master of Studies in Law for Health and Science Professionals is a one-year program for individuals who have an advanced degree or substantial work experience in a health or science related field and wish to develop a solid understanding of the law as it applies to their discipline.
