Student Advising and Support

LL.M. students are offered a variety of extracurricular programs to support their academic goals as well as their career endeavors after graduation.

Global Programs

Once at UC Hastings, LL.M. students are overseen by Global Programs. Global Programs offers a welcoming environment and organizes social activities for LL.M. students, foreign exchange students, and visiting scholars. The office also provides immigration advising and connects international scholars and students with support services.

Career Services

The Office of Career and Professional Development at UC Hastings provides a wide variety of programs including panels, mock interviews, brown bags, workshops, and career fairs. The office also offers a well-stocked career library as well as office computers dedicated to student use and an online job database for students, alumni, and potential employers.

With a career counselor specifically assigned to assist them, our LLM students benefit from personalized assistance as well as special workshops and information sessions. Hastings is a consortium member of the West Coast LLM Job Fair, so our LLM students have opportunities to interview with international firms prior to graduation.
