Transfer Student

The Transfer Student Inter-Journal Writing Competition start date and deadline will be announced once admissions have been finalized, usually on or about August 1st annually. The O'Brien Center for Scholarly Publications will contact all admitted/accepted transfers via email regarding the competition.

Participants in the Transfer Student Inter-Journal Writing Competition can submit their entries via email to scholarp@uchastings.edu as an attachment in MS Word and ignore the copies and cover sheets requirements of paper copy entries. Paper copy entries can be delivered via mail or express (postmarked no later than the deadline; TBA) to:

Hand-delivered copies can be brought to the Scholarly Publications office, 100 McAllister Street, room 2204 until 5 p.m. on the deadline.

Transfer students will be assigned Transfer Student Competition Numbers when their entries are received. There is no need to register in advance. When all the journals have evaluated all the entries, the office of Scholarly Publications will directly notify the transfer students of their invitations.
