The events and tasks are arranged in chronological order based on the event date or deadline. Overall, the content on this page replicates the information on the Enrollment Requirements sheet you received in your acceptance packet, but updates and changes are possible. When there are updates and changes, they will be made on this webpage. You may want to bookmark this page as you will need to return to it often during the spring and summer.

Enrolling at UC Hastings
UC Hastings requires two enrollment deposits totaling $750 from all entering students. On-campus housing is optional; approximately 85 apartments in the McAllister Tower at 100 McAllister Street will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis to incoming students.

Matriculation at UC Hastings

| CA Residency | June 5 | All students who wish to be classified as in-state residents must complete the CA Residency application. Allow ample time for this task. Visit the Residency webpage for details and the application form. |
| Tuition Payments | July 15 | Fall 2013 invoices will be available on WebAdvisor by late June. The July 15 deadline is applicable only to those students who will not be receiving financial aid. Students who plan to use financial aid funds need to have their accounts settled by the first day of classes. |
| Final Transcripts | August 1 | Transcripts submitted to the LSAC during the application process do not satisfy this requirement. UC Hastings requires final, official, undergraduate transcripts from all entering students. Graduate transcripts are not required. |
| Health Forms | August 1 | Two forms are required: the Personal Health History and the Immunization Record. Visit the Student Health Service webpage for details and the forms. |
| Health Insurance Waiver | Aug. 1 (Preferred) Sept. 4 (Final) | Students who wish to opt-out of the UC Hastings provided student health insurance must complete and submit the Health Insurance Waiver application. Visit the Student Health Service webpage for details and the application form. |
| Class Schedules | Early August | The Records Office will assign all new students to 1L sections by early August. Section assignments and class schedules will be emailed to students. Information for textbook orders will be included in this communication. |
| Orientation | August 14 - 16 | Orientation is required for all students. The Office of Student Services will post a detailed schedule in early August. Students admitted to the LEOP program will need to be on campus for a required pre-Orientation program beginning on August 7. |
