University of California Summer Legal Institute

Each summer UC Hastings offers classes in a variety of subject areas.  All courses are taught at UC Hastings in San Francisco, adjacent to federal, state, and local courthouses, San Francisco City Hall, and many of the city's leading law firms.

Summer course offerings are divided into two general areas: credit-bearing courses and summer certificate programs.  There are two certificate programs:

  • Envisioning, Designing and Implementing Court ADR:  Open to non-U.S. judges, lawyers and court administrators. (June 20 - 26, 2013).
  • Mediation Certificate Training:  Open to lawyers and non-lawyers.  (June 12 - 18, 2013)

For further details and application information about the two certificate programs, please visit the UC Hastings Center for Negotiation and Dispute Resolution webpage.

The credit-bearing courses are open to any J.D. student currently enrolled and in good academic standing at an ABA-accredited law school and to LL.M and MSL students who will be atttending UC Hastings during the 2013-14 academic year.
