Gifts of Securities, Stocks, and Bonds
Appreciated securities, stocks, and bonds are much appreciated by the law school, and they provide a wonderful tax advantage if transferred before being sold. Consult your tax advisor for guidance on making a gift. Instructions on transferring stock are available here.

For gifts of mutual funds, real estate, or other personal property, please contact us. We are fortunate to have the resources of the University of California Treasurer’s Office available to assist with your gift.
Gift Fee
As is the case at most all institutions of higher education, UC Hastings College of the Law applies an administrative fee to all gifts it receives. The fee is used to fund the advancement and alumni relations activities of the College. The UC Hastings fee of 5% is currently less than that of other institutions.
