The UCLA LLM Interview Program is a recruitment venue for internationally trained lawyers who are enrolled in an LL.M. program at a participating law school and for employers who seek international legal talent. UCLA School of Law serves as the event’s organizer and host while a consortium of approximately 18 law schools, including UC Hastings, participate in this program. In 2016, over __ employers participated in the UCLA LLM Interview Program through interviews and resume collects. The 2017 UCLA LLM Interview Program will take place in February at UCLA School of Law in Los Angeles, CA (stay tuned for details!).
The International Student Interview Program (ISIP) is an annual consortium event sponsored by 33 law schools nationwide and hosted by NYU School of Law to facilitate the hiring of highly qualified foreign-trained lawyers enrolled in LLM programs at each school. The program attracts more than 160 of the leading legal employers from around the world, who review student resumes based on their hiring needs and country of practice.
Although Hastings does not directly participate in ISIP, each year NYU sends Hastings its list of participating employers for this year’s event that details the position requirements for each interviewing office and resume collection. Any interested Hastings LLM students may submit their cover letter and resume directly to an ISIP employer by going to the employer website to search for the recruiter’s contact information. This is a great opportunity to directly apply to employers who have specifically indicated an interest in hiring LLM candidates, especially if your background and experience align with that employer’s hiring needs.
