Fall OCI Employer Instructions


How to Participate in Fall OCI

1. Log-in to our online recruiting website www.hastingscareersonline.com.

  • Your username will always be your email address. If you have forgotten your password, click "forgot password," enter your email address, and click "go." Your password will be re-set and sent to you by email immediately. You can change it to something memorable by accessing and editing your profile once you successfully log in. 
  • If you do not yet have a username and password for HCO, click "for employers" then click "register" to fill out a short profile for your organization. Your username and password will be emailed you once we approve your account. In most cases, your log-in information will be emailed to you in less than 24 hours.

2. In the grey navigation bar at the top you will see the words Home, Account, Calendar, Job Postings, and Fall OCI. Click "Fall OCI" to get started.

3. Before you can register for OCI, you will be forced to provide feedback regarding last year's interviews.

  • If you did not interview last year, select "no" under "callbacks" and click Finalize.
  • If you interviewed last year, please complete the short form for each student. If there are any Hastings students you interviewed whose names do not automatically populate in the list, such as someone an interview may have met with unexpectedly, please add those students individually by clicking on the "add student" button.

4. After providing feedback, you will either be automatically be taken to the schedule request form, or you may need to click on tab labeled "Schedule Request & Resume Collects." Click "request schedule" button and fill out the short form. You may save this form and return to it at will. Your schedule request is not complete until you click "submit."

  • Choose whether you would like an on-campus interview schedule or a resume collect. If you do not receive enough candidates to warrant a full day of on-campus interviews, your schedule can always be changed to a resume collect later on.
  • If you would like to request separate interview schedules for different offices, please fill out multiple schedule request forms, choosing the appropriate office in the "registering office" drop down menu.
  • If you would like a single schedule, through which students may interview for one of many offices, please choose only one registering office and name other office locations in the "additional locations" box.
  • Please make us aware of your preferences as to interview date by filling out the "scheduling notes" box under the category called "days." No interviews will take place on Labor Day.

5. After successfully requesting a schedule, you will receive a confirmation by email that let's you know we have received your request. This is not a confirmation that you have received the interview date of your preference.

  • In early May, your schedule request will be processed and your interview date assigned. You will receive a second email notification when schedules are finalized. We will try to accomodate your date preference to the best of our ability, but cannot guarantee you will be assigned your requested date.
