How to Get Involved

Students qualify for the Team by competing in the In-School Competition, held in early October. The Team conducts an informational meeting the first week of the fall semester, followed by team-led workshops and several practice negotiation sessions to orient students to competition procedures and judging criteria, and to help them prepare for the In-School Competition. Team members receive one unit of credit for each semester in which they participate in a live competition. Hastings pays for the travel costs (including meals and lodging) to competitions. Students who win regional events also go on to compete at national final rounds.
