Grande Lum lectures on Mediation Advocacy in Silicon Valley November 17. The lecture is part of a series of Legal Perspectives presented by the Alumni Center. Mediator Gary Friedman will be speaking at Hastings on November 10, from 3:30-4:30 in the Moot Court Room. Gary is one of the foremost mediators in the world: he has taught at Harvard, Stanford, and the World Intellectual Property Organization and has trained a large number of mediators in the Bay Area. Along with his role in teaching negotiation and mediation, he is also a leader in humanizing legal education and has promoted the use of mindfulness and other contemplative practices at retreats for lawyers from across the United States. On Tuesday November 3, from 3:30-4:30, a one-hour video of his mediation produced by the Harvard Negotiation Project entitled Saving the Last Dance will be shown in Classroom B. |
