The Grand Canyon Trust appeals the district court’s summary judgment in favor of federal agencies alleging that the agencies violated the Endangered Species Act and other federal statutes in its operation of Glen Canyon Dam on the Colorado River, specifically by its impact on the habitat of the endangered humpback chub.

Appeal from the district court’s summary judgment in favor of California officials in a 42 U.S.C. § 1983 putative class action that was originally brought in 2003 to challenge the constitutionality of California’s Unclaimed Property law.

Sonoma County Association v. Sonoma County, 10-17873
Members of the Sonoma County Association of Retired Employees appeal from the district court’s dismissal of their 42 U.S.C. § 983 action, alleging that the County’s 2009 cut of its retirees’ health care benefits breached its contract with the retirees.

Jones v. Ryan, 10-99006
Arizona state prisoner Robert Glen Jones appeals from the district court’s denial of his 28 U.S.C. § 2254 habeas petition challenging his jury conviction and capital sentence for six counts of murder and related offenses. Jones alleged prosecutorial misconduct by suborning perjury to bolster witness credibility, introducing false evidence, misconstruing police sketches, making a false avowal and failing to disclose evidence.
