C. T. Chris Compton
Adjunct Professor Charles T. (Chris) Compton is a senior antitrust partner at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, focusing on antitrust merger, litigation and IP issues for Silicon Valley companies. He has handled more than 900 antitrust merger reviews by the Federal Trade Commission, the Department of Justice, the European Commission and other international antitrust agencies; none was ever blocked or abandoned for antitrust reasons. He has also litigated a wide range of antitrust and IP cases.
Professor Compton writes extensively, has taught at Santa Clara University School of Law, and is a regular speaker at ABA and International Bar Association conferences in the United States and abroad. He has been cited for some years in Chambers USA Client's Guide, Best Lawyers in America, the International Who's Who of Competition Lawyers & Economists and as a Northern California Super Lawyer.
After graduating from the U.S. Air Force Academy, Professor Compton was a Root-Tilden Scholar and Managing Editor of the Law Review at New York University School of Law. His proudest achievement, other than his two daughters, was reaching Mount Everest base camp in a Nepal trek a few years ago. He still hopes to learn to play the harmonica.
