Kristin Cornuelle
Adjunct Professor Kristin Cornuelle is an attorney in the Intellectual Property Group at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP.
Professor Cornuelle handles both intellectual property and general commercial litigation matters. She also focuses on U.S. and international trademark and copyright counseling and prosecution, advising on branding strategies, and resolving trademark-related disputes.
In addition, Professor Cornuelle has a varied pro bono practice, providing limited scope representation in a number of different areas, including domestic violence, eviction defense and housing, homeless warrants and infractions, and immigration. She supervises Hastings students as part of the Orrick/Hastings Homeless Legal Services Clinic, providing assistance to San Francisco homeless shelter residents with outstanding warrants. Professor Cornuelle was the recipient of the 2009 Orrick Pro Bono Award.
Professor Cornuelle received her undergraduate degree from Princeton University in Molecular Biology and her law degree from University of California Hastings College of the Law. Prior to her law career, Professor Cornuelle held various executive positions in the non-profit sector and local government, assisting low-income residents and individuals with disabilities to secure employment.
