Jeff Goldfien


Adjunct Professor Jeff Goldfien is an attorney and mediator in private practice, and works with the Center for Collaborative Policy, an academic consulting unit in the California State University system, where he designs and mediates public policy, environmental, and natural resources conflict resolution and planning efforts. Professor Goldfien received his LL.M. in Dispute Resolution from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2005, and his articles on dispute resolution and related topics have been published in leading academic journals in the field. He teaches courses in mediation and negotiation at UC Hastings College of the Law, and at UC Berkeley School of Law.

Professor Goldfien has practiced land use and local government law in the Bay Area since 1988, representing and advising local agencies throughout California. A Bay Area native, Professor Goldfien earned his J.D. from the University of San Francisco, and an A.B. in psychology from the University of California, Berkeley.
