Peeyush Jain

Adjunct Professor Peeyush Jain graduated from the University of Chicago with a B.A. in Economics in 1984.  After working for IBM in Chicago for four years, he attended Stanford Law School and received his J.D. in 1991. 

He currently has his own practice servings as Deputy General Counsel for United Microelectronics Corporation in Taiwan, and as affiliated counsel for Bergeson LLP in San Jose.  A significant part of his practice is focused on negotiating technology based business agreements.

In the past, Professor Jain was an associate in Weil, Gotshal & Manages’ international trade group, an associate in Wilson Sonisini Goodrich & Rosati’s litigation and technology transactions groups, and Of Counsel in Latham & Watkins’ technology transactions group.

Professor Jain also serves on the Board of Directors for Communitas Charter High School, plays basketball and guitar, and enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters.
