Jennifer Wyllie-Pletcher

Adjunct Professor Jennifer Wyllie-Pletcher is an attorney and domestic violence consultant with 19 years experience in the domestic violence field.  After graduating from the University of California at Riverside in 1990, she went on to Golden Gate University School of Law where she received her J.D. in 1993.  She has been a crisis line counselor, a criminal court advocate with the Family Violence Project in the San Francisco District Attorney's Office, a family law staff attorney with Solano County Legal Assistance, and served six years as the Legal Director at Battered Women's Alternatives (currently known as STAND!) in Contra Costa County.

Professor Wyllie-Pletcher does contract work with the Administrative Office of the Courts Center for Families, Children & the Courts and has written California Judicial guides on protective orders, firearms and full faith and credit.  She has taught Domestic Violence Law at Golden Gate University School of Law the past 8 years and co-teaches the Civil Field Placement Clinic at GGU School of Law.  She has been active in domestic violence legislative work for over 15 years and has presented numerous trainings on domestic violence legal issues.  In 2008, she founded the Bay Area Domestic Violence Legal Roundtable to bring together attorneys working in the domestic violence field.
