Jenni Parrish, Professor of Law, Director of the Law Library
Professor Parrish was born and raised in Houston, Texas, received a B.A. degree from Rice University, and her M.L.S. and J.D. degrees from the University of Texas at Austin. She started her career in law librarianship at the University of Oklahoma as Associate Law Librarian, became Director of the Law Library at the University of Pittsburgh in 1980, and joined the Hastings Faculty in 1993.
She has taught and published in the areas of legal research, advanced legal research, law librarianship, and American legal history. At Hastings, she currently teaches a seminar on the legal history of immigrants in the United States.
Professor Parrish serves as the Accreditation Liaison Officer for UC Hastings in seeking accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. She also heads a UC Hastings committee looking into distance legal education.
