Michael Gowe is a Deputy Attorney General in the Employment and Administrative Mandate Section of the California Department of Justice. As a Deputy Attorney General, he represents state agencies and officials in the trial and appellate courts.
Michael has been teaching at Hastings for over a decade. While at Hastings, Michael has taught Legal Writing & Research, Moot Court, and Appellate Advocacy. He also teaches at Berkeley Law. At Berkeley, Michael has taught Advanced Legal Writing: Writing for Practice and a California Constitution Seminar. Michael is a Senior Research Fellow at Berkeley’s California Constitution Center.
