Adjunct Professor Marc Siegel is currently Senior Counsel for Criminal Enforcement with the Antitrust Division, U.S. Department of Justice, in San Francisco. Prior to June of this year, he was the Chief of the San Francisco Office. From 2005 to 2010, he was the Director of Criminal Enforcement of the Antitrust Division in Washington, D.C. He joined the Division in 1986 through the Attorney General’s Honors Program.
During his 30-year career at the Division, Professor Siegel has led and managed many criminal investigations on behalf of the Division, including several international cartel matters involving price fixing of commodity chemical products. He has helped shape policy on behalf of the Division’s criminal enforcement program. Professor Siegel has also led the Division’s professional-development efforts on behalf of its criminal attorneys, including devising and conducting in-house training courses focusing on the various stages of criminal antitrust investigations.
Professor Siegel received his J.D. from the University of San Francisco in 1986. He received his B.A. in Political Science and Economics from U.C Berkeley in 1983.
