General Information: We anticipate that UC Hastings will receive WASC accreditation in June 2012 and that LL.M. and MSL students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents will be eligible to apply for Federal Direct loans beginning with the fall 2012 semester.

For the MSL Program:
March 1, 2012 is the priority deadline for financial aid forms, but you may still submit to the Financial Aid office. Please contact the Financial Aid office directly to discuss need-based financial aid. UC Hastings College of the Law is accredited by the American Bar Association. For the MSL program, additional accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) is required in order for MSL students to be eligible for federal financial aid funds and in order for employers and other colleges and universities to recognize the degrees and academic credit.
The University of California Hastings College of the Law has applied for Eligibility from the Senior College Commission of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. WASC has reviewed the application and determined that the College is eligible to apply for accreditation. WASC will conduct a visit in spring 2012 and will consider UC Hastings for initial accreditation by the WASC Commission at its June 2012 meeting. Financial Aid Funds are distributed on the last business day before the first day of class each semester.
