Tips for PowerPoint Users
Each semester, we hear from faculty who want to try out using Microsoft PowerPoint in their classes. While there is much debate on the topic of PowerPoint itself (some of which sounds like the typical Microsoft bashing), there are many faculty who do use presentations in their classrooms -- and use them effectively. This section is my attempt to provide tips on how to make effective use of PowerPoint (or other presentation software) in the law school environment. The following are links that are offered in that attempt:
PowerPoint: Devil in a Red Dress offers the author's tips from long use of presentation software. Especially good: the list of references at the end of the article.
Law School Professors on the Uses of PowerPoint
- Prof. Alison Sulentic wrote Adventures in PowerPoint which discusses her use of PowerPoint to explain hypotheticals in her Sales courses.
- Prof. Gregory Sisk wrote an article on using PowerPoint in his classes, with some cogent comments from his readers.
