Note: Make sure to install McAfee for Windows with Standard Protection, not Maximum Protection.  Maximum Protection will cause issues with installing programs, downloading files, and will conflict with SofTest.

Caveats

• McAfee VirusScan is site licensed for distribution to the Hastings campus community
• Installation and use is restricted to current Hastings students, faculty, and staff
• Configuration is for home use, not servers nor network workstations
• Windows users should have the most recent Windows Service Pack installed
• Windows users should have the following setup:
  
  • Intel Pentium or Celeron processor running a minimum of 166 MHz
  • 128 MB RAM
  • 240 MB free disk space
  • Internet Explorer 5.5 or later
  • Windows 7 and Vista (32-bit or 64-bit), XP, 2000 Professional with SP4
• Mac users should have the following setup:
  
  • PowerPC or Intel Based Mac computer
  • 512 MB (or higher) RAM
  • Minimum 90 MB free disk space
  • Mac OS X Tiger (10.4.6 or later) or Mac OS X Leopard (10.5 or later)
