How to Get a Document

Click on the “Get a Document” tab.  Click on the tab “by Citation” or “by Party Name.”

By Citation: Type in your citation – Click “Get” – that’s it!

Problem: You can’t pull up a document if you don’t know the exact citation.

Example: Your teacher verbally told you to find 41 California Reports 3rd 1, but “California Reports” is not the proper citation abbreviation.  To find the correct abbreviation, click “Citation Formats.”
