Envisioning Public Interest – Panel

Location:  200 McAllister, Alumni Reception Center

The Hastings Public Interest Law Foundation presents Envisioning Public Interest, a panel discussion and reception featuring some of the top practitioners in various fields of public interest legal work.  Hastings Professor Donna Ryu of the Civil Justice Clinic will moderate a discussion featuring Angela Chan of the Asian Law Caucus, James Finberg of Altshuler Berzon, LLP, Phoenix Streets of the San Francisco Public Defenders Office, Anjali Jaiswal of the Natural Resources Defense Council, and Jory Steele of the American Civil Liberties Union. These attorneys will discuss their current and past work, as well as strategies for law students who wish to practice in these fields. Hastings alumni, faculty, and Career Office staff will also be in attendance to share insights with interested students. A reception with food, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages will follow, 5:30-7:00 pm in the Alumni Resource Center.
