Disorientation - Conversation with Shahid Buttar, Exec Director, Bill of Rights Defense Committee

The conversation will begin with a "disorientation" - framing some of the implicit biases embedded in legal education. We will also explore how this ties to rule of law issues such as torture, surveillance, & secrecy. BORDC's mission is to promote, organize, & support a diverse, effective, national grassroots movement to restore & protect civil rights & liberties guaranteed by the Bill of Rights. Its purpose is to educate people about the significance of those rights in our lives; to encourage widespread civic participation; & to cultivate & share the organizing tools & strategies needed for people to convert their concern, outrage, & fear into debate & action to restore Bill of Rights protections. www.BORDC.org.
