UC Hastings Center for Negotiation and Dispute Resolution will present "The Science of Emotion & Negotiation: Compassion, Lie Detection & Winning" on Friday, October 22, 2010 in the Alumni Reception Center of Mary Kay Kane Hall, beginning at 8:30 am.  This symposium will bring together UCSF Professor Emeritus Paul Ekman, scientific advisor to Fox TV's "Lie to Me", Harvard Business School Professor Michael Wheeler, Santa Clara University Psychology Professor Shauna Shapiro and other scientific researchers on emotion and emotion management - including both mindfulness and other meditation techniques.
