UCSF/UC Hastings Consortium on Law, Science and Health Policy Summer Speaker Series: "Unnecessary Re-Hospitalizations"
Start: 8/2/2011 from 12:00 PM to
1:00 PM
Location: 198 McAllister, Sutro Room 304
Professor Ann Marie Marciarille will examine one of Medicare's key cost drivers, unnecessary re-hospitalizations. Both the problem of unnecessary Medicare re-hospitalizations and the solution are found at the intersection of Medicare finance and Medicare delivery systems, both of which are shaped by Medicare's legal and regulatory infrastructure. It is only fitting that potential solutions should be found there as well.
