Legal & Non-Legal Aspects of the Independent Film Business

Are you interested in entertainment law? Would you like to learn about being a lawyer in a non-legal field? UC Hastings alumnus and independent film producer Daniel Meisel will be on campus on Friday, September 16 to discuss the legal and the non-legal aspects of independent film production and distribution. All members of the Hastings community are invited to attend.

Daniel Meisel is the producer and co-writer of All She Can, a full-length independent film that has been accepted to several film festivals, including Sundance. Daniel was previously V.P. of Business Affairs for Canadian technology startup Telbotics, Inc., and a litigation attorney with San Francisco’s Cooper, White & Cooper. He has written book and film reviews for Los Angeles Lawyer and The Lancet. He has a JD from UC Hastings College of the Law and a BA with Honors from Wesleyan University.
