The California Supreme Court will hold a special oral argument session on Wednesday, September 7, 2011, at University of California Hastings College of the Law. 

It is the first time in recent history that the state’s high court has held oral argument at UC Hastings. Opening remarks will be made by Chief Justice Cantil-Sakauye and Frank H. Wu, UC Hastings Chancellor and Dean. The oral argument will be part of the Supreme Court’s regular September oral argument calendar session.  It is anticipated that an additional day of oral argument will be held in the Supreme Court’s Courtroom in the Earl Warren Building, 350 McAllister Street, San Francisco.

Each year, the Supreme Court holds a special oral argument session to improve understanding of the courts among high school or law students. More information on the Supreme Court is available at www.courts.ca.gov/supremecourt.htm.
