Hastings Tapped to Host Prestigious National Moot Court Competition

The American College of Trial Lawyers and the Young Lawyers Committee of the Bar of the City of New York have selected UC Hastings as the host of the west coast regional rounds of the prestigious National Moot Court Competition on November 13 & 14, 2009. The Hastings Moot Court Department is pleased to work closely with regional sponsors the Los Angeles County Bar Association Barristers and noted appellate attorney Rob Galloway to produce a high-quality competition.  Sixteen teams from eight regional schools will compete for two spots to advance to the national rounds in New York City on February 1-4, 2010.

The regional rounds will be held at Hastings and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco, and local practitioners, judges, and law professors will act as appellate judges. If you are interested in participating as a judge for this important competition, please contact Toni Young, the Moot Court Program Director, at younga@uchastings.edu or 415.565.4729.
