Professor Joan Williams Participated in White House Forum on Workplace Flexibility

The White House Council on Women and Girls invited Professor Joan Williams to participate in a White House Forum on Workplace Flexibility with President Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama and their policy teams, held on March 31.

Both the First Lady and the President discussed the importance of creating a work environment that allows men and women to meet the demands of their jobs while balancing the needs of their families. Professor Williams collaborated with CEOs, small business owners, labor leaders, and other workplace policy experts on ideas and strategies on how to make the workplace a more flexible place for American workers and families.
