President Obama Appoints Prof. Grande Lum HUBZone Director

UC Hastings Professor Grande Lum has been recently appointed by President Obama to be the director of the Small Business Administration's Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) Program. The HUBZone program's mission is to promote job growth, capital investment, and economic development to historically underutilized business zones by providing contracting assistance to small business located in these economically distressed communities. 

Professor Lum says, "While I will greatly miss Hastings, my colleagues and students, I am honored to be joining the Obama administration and having the opportunity to shape this important program and further help economically distressed communities."
