First Hawai`i Hastings Scholarship Awarded

UC Hastings College of the Law is pleased to announce that the first Hawai`i Hastings Scholarship has been awarded to Katherine Sakado '13. The scholarship was established by members of the Hawai`i Hastings alumni community to continue its longstanding connection with UC Hastings.

Selected from an array of outstanding student candidates with close ties to Hawai`i, Sakado is a graduate of the Mid-Pacific Institute and the University of Hawai`i at Manoa. Selection criteria included academic excellence, close connections to Hawai`i and professional aspirations. 

Hastings is most grateful to our vibrant Hawai`i Hastings alumni community for its generous support of our students. It is the hope of these alumni that students from Hawai`i will return to the islands and give back - both personally and professionally - to the community that helped them receive their legal education.
