Prof. Geoffrey Hazard, Thomas E. Miller Distinguished Professor of the Law, contributes his opinions about President Obama's appointment of Elizabeth Warren as assistant to the president and special adviser to Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner. Hazard said he doesn't believe Warren's consulting work raises major ethical issues.

Elizabeth Warren, named by President Barack Obama to set up the new consumer finance agency, was paid $90,000 this year to be an expert witness in a class-action lawsuit against some of the biggest U.S. banks.
