Jon Eisenberg ’79 Named One of The Recorder's 2010 Attorneys of the Year

Oakland attorney Jon Eisenberg '79 has been named one of The Recorder's 2010 Attorneys of the Year. Eisenberg, of Eisenberg & Hancock, represented the plaintiff in Al-Haramain Islamic Foundation v. Bush, which generated national headlines when Judge Vaughn Walker ruled that the National Security Agency's surveillance of the plaintiff without a warrant was illegal.
"This year's winners are marked by their perseverance - whether fighting long odds, persuading courts to reconsider their own rulings, or getting great trial results in high-profile, high-pressure situations," said Scott Graham, The Recorder editor-in-chief.
