Ron Proschan Receives 2009 Rummel Award

The 1066 Foundation has chosen Ron Proschan, Microcomputer Support Coordinator, to receive the Charles and Jane Rummel Award.  The Rummel Award was created to recognize a staff member who contributes "above and beyond" to Hastings.

The award honors the memories of Charles and Jane Rummel: Charles was one of the founding members of the 1066 Foundation and he and his wife were dedicated to advancing Hastings. Rummel Award honorees are recognized on a plaque prominently displayed on the second floor of Kane Hall.  Ron Proschan leads IT’s desktop support group, which responds to countless requests from faculty, staff, and students throughout the year. In addition, Ron maintains several critical Hastings information systems, including the email system, grade scanning system and room scheduling database. Nominated by Eric Noble, Ron has been with Hastings for nearly ten years.
